YMCA Camp Campbell Wedding

Candace + Christopher were married at the amazing YMCA Camp Campbell in Boulder Creek CA. I had never heard of the camp and wasn’t sure what to expect out of a YMCA camp, but I was totally blow away by the beauty of the surroundings and the facilities. The ceremony site is BEYOND romantic and the reception hall is the perfect site for a luxe woodsy event.

We started the day at Fantasy Beauty Salon in Prunedale. The bride’s mom is a stylist, so you can imagine she arranged a special morning for Candace and her bridesmaids. Ok, let’s all just stop for a second and acknowledge our burning jealous over Candace’s hair. I mean, come on.

The cabins at YMCA Camp Campbell wedding are so nice and really pretty inside. Not at all what I would expect from a cabin in the woods. These were brand new, and perfect for the entire bridal party to get ready.

Doesn’t Candace look like a real life woodland fairy? So stunning! Her flower crown and long veil created such a soft romantic look!

Candace + Christopher decided to do a first look and I’m so glad they did. It was perfectly wonderful to see them embrace for the first time on their wedding day.

Candace’s mom carried the cutest sign down the aisle. “Here comes my Princess”

Candace’s brother performed a lovely ceremony. I love personal touches like that! The tall redwood trees, string lights, and wooden benches created the most magically romantic atmosphere to say their “i-dos”.

So this hilarious moment needs some explaining. I have photographed LOTS of weddings, but in my 6 years I have never seen a best man forget the rings before! Thankfully the bride and groom cracked up and a good laugh was had by all. In no time at all the best man returned with the rings and gave the bride and groom a great story to tell for many years!

Candace designed an amazing reception. It was totally elegant and sophisticated while also totally fitting the rustic beauty of the venue. I love all the greenery and the beautiful dark reds.

My favorite part of the day is always escaping just us, for a few minutes to capture some stunning photos of just the two of them. These first moments of being married are something I want them to look back on with affection for the rest of their lives. The tall redwoods made for an incredible backdrop.

Back at the hall for the reception, the guests laughed, danced, and partied the night away. It was a perfect evening surround by friends and family.
